What I'm Doing Here

Because I enjoy adventure games, I decided to start this blog and record my fun and frustrations as I play various adventures and some RPGs. I try not to spoil the games, so you can read and play, or play and read. I'm also reviewing some games, as I used to do in the past for Four Fat Chicks. I hope I'll spark your interest in playing, or at least entertain you with my musings. Please note that my musings are only speculations. You, or the game designer, may disagree with my opinions. At the end of each entry is a link to the next entry about that game, and you'll find a list of beginning links to the right, just under my cat's photo. Feel free to comment and play along! Enjoy!

Fran Bow 6: Into the AIR!!

So we got out of the magical land of trees and plants, and are on our way back home, supposedly. Apparently we are doing that via an aircraft of some sort. This this is piloted by an apparently friendly skeleton-type character. That kind of thing is becoming par for the course in this game. Ever wierder.

First I had to finish solving all the puzzles for the Grand Wizard, who is a nice guy. I did get a hint from the CJU videos, but mostly, again, I figured it out for myself. There wasn't much left to do--I was nearly at the end of Chapter 3. Still, Fran has been confronted with more grisly monsters, one of which claimed to be her and told her she needed to kill Mr. Midnight. Fran, of course, would never fall for that.

However, there have been and continue to be some rather lofty pieces of advice about how Fran must find solutions to her problems, and will do so when she is "ready." Upon leaving the magical land, we have yet another puzzle: this time a platformer. Fran has to jump over rocks and chasms to escape a pursuing monster. But I got a Steam achievement for doing it!

Now we've met a skeleton-like creature who has taken us up into the sky, with the idea that he's taking us home. Or is he taking us to hell? Difficult to say, because we have our pills back now, and those certainly do give us a different perspective on the world. At the moment I'm on the aircraft solving some rather simple puzzles that look rather complicated. But they're not, because as the game says, we have everything we need, including instructions, on how to solve them.

I left it there. I'm sad to leave the pleasant land of living trees and vegetables to go back into a darker realm, but I am advancing in the game.

Whatever could be next?
